Associate General Counsel – Commercial & Contracts

A growing, privately held manufacturing and consumer products company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its legal leadership team. This role offers a defined path to General Counsel succession within 3–5 years and is ideal for a business-minded attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements
• Advise business leaders on legal and commercial matters
• Support intellectual property, brand protection, and advertising review
• Manage outside counsel relationships and litigation oversight
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, marketing, and HR

Ideal Background

• 8–15 years of legal experience
• Large law firm training strongly preferred
• In-house experience preferred
• Manufacturing, consumer products, CPG, or similar industry experience
• Strong commercial contracts and transactional experience
• Exposure to trademarks, advertising, and IP matters is a plus

Compensation

• Competitive base salary
