Sous Chef Benefits & Compensation:

Sous Chef Requirements:

  • 2+ years as a Sous Chef or in a comparable leadership role
  • Upscale or fine dining experience required; Italian cuisine background preferred with a passion for Italian food essential
  • High-volume experience handling 800–1,000 covers per night and $8M–$10M in annual sales
  • Skilled in scheduling, ordering, and inventory control
  • Stable work history with open availability

Sous Chef Must Haves:

  • Lead, train, and inspire kitchen staff in a high-performance environment
  • Consistently execute dishes to exacting standards during peak service
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menus and specials
  • Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
  • Manage labor and food costs while upholding quality

Sous Chef Preferred:

  • Experience in scratch kitchens with complex menus
  • Knowledge of authentic Italian cooking techniques
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification
  • Background in opening restaurants and implementing systems
