Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction
A growing heavy civil construction contractor is hiring a Project Manager to bring structure, systems, and consistency to a lean, field-driven operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, practical problem-solving, and working directly with ownership in a small leadership team.
What You’ll Do
- Implement and standardize project management software, systems, and processes
- Manage pre-construction handoff, contracts, project setup, and schedule
- Review vendor and subcontractor invoices and prepare owner billings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Coordinate with field leadership and visit job sites regularly
What We’re Looking For
- Background in civil / horizontal construction (utilities, retainer walls, bridges, tunnels, paving, earthwork, drainage, concrete, highway, etc.)
- Experience level flexible (approx. 3–15 years)
- Comfortable implementing and working within new software systems
- Strong organization and follow-through in a low-support environment
- Clear, professional communication skills

- Remote-based with a dedicated home office
- Regular in-field time visiting job sites and meetings

Requirements
- Local to the Dallas–Fort Worth area
- Must have experience with civil software such as HCSS, Vitruvi, Procore, or something similar. Be well versed and ready to implement and use.
