Sous Chef | Luxury Hotel | Texas Gulf Coast
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Sous Chef for a historic, landmark luxury hotel that is in an exciting season with an evolving F&B program. This opportunity is well suited for a chef who is passionate about the craft, thrives in a high-expectation kitchen, and leads with discipline, consistency, and professionalism.
The ideal candidate is culinary-focused and highly engaged in day-to-day operations, with a strong work ethic, an organized approach, and a commitment to quality at every level. A background in French and/or Mediterranean cuisine is strongly preferred, as this role will directly support restaurant outlets where that experience will translate well.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day execution of kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Lead service and prep with a visible, hands-on presence
- Assist with team supervision, coaching, and kitchen accountability
- Help ensure cleanliness, organization, and smooth back-of-house flow
- Partner closely with culinary leadership to support outlet success
Qualifications
- Prior Sous Chef or strong kitchen leadership experience
- Hands-on, team-oriented leadership style
- Strong organizational skills and kitchen discipline
- Passion for culinary execution and high standards
- French and/or Mediterranean background preferred
- Spanish language skills a plus
Compensation
- $65,000–$75,000
