Resident Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between project stakeholders and the engineering team.
  • Manage daily field operations, including construction inspections and contractor coordination.

Resident Engineer Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Utah (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • UDOT CEMT Certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • 8+ years of experience managing highway or DOT construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of roadway construction, inspection practices, and engineering documentation.
