Our client is a general contractor that is looking to fill a Construction Superintendent position in the Blacksburg, VA area.
Superintendent Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force
- Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project Manager
- Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer
- Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules
- Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program
Superintendent Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of construction experience as a superintendent
- Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase Orders
- Must have experience with complex commercial projects including higher education or buildings with laboratories ($25M - 100M in scope)
- Exhibits strong leadership qualities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Superintendent Compensation Highlights:
- $100K - $120K annually
