Summary:
The role of the CDL Driver(CDL Required) local CDL driver/truck driver for Gunnison Tree Services, a Gunnison Company is to provide support and assistance to the crew leader(s) in day-to-day tree care operations.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Assist climbers by working on the ground, handing tools and heavy materials as needed
- Keeping the work area clear of debris, cleaning up limbs and branches as they are
- brought down in tree cutting work
- Raking the area clear to maintain the safety zone
- Lining up branches and piling appropriately for loading into the chipper.
- Keeping tools in the staging area and safe zone
- Assuring that all lines are kept clear at all times
- Being attentive to the crew leader's cues throughout the job and maintaining awareness of potential hazards
- Safely driving company vehicles to / from job sites
- Service truck and equippment. Keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion
- Maintaining equipment such as keeping chainsaws sharpened
- Operating heavy equipment such as a skid steer
- Tying knots and operating rigging equipment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Must pass a background check and drug test
- Valid driver's license
- Valid CDL(Required)
