Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • May be assigned to work in a variety of locations, assist other radiology modalities and/or clinical services.
  • Must have the knowledge to make quick and highly technical decisions in order to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.
  • Must be able to resolve conflict and endure the pressures associated with a constantly changing work environment.
  • Independently performs advanced level procedures on adults, geriatric, and adolescent age groups and performs patient assessment within the scope of practice.
  • Works collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules and to triage routine and emergent procedures.
  • Actively participates in the training of other Imaging technologists and students.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as an RT with Certification in CT/MRI. Must have advanced Certification in either discipline and be Registry eligible for the other at a minimum
  • Licensed by the Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray Compliance State of New Jersey
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA Certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Previous employment as a Multi-Modality Technologist
  • 2 years clinical experience
  • IV certification
