Job Summary and Qualifications

Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - PRN

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently accepting applications for an Ultrasound Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer, you will perform routine diagnostic sonographic procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Sonographer include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures
• Obtain high-quality images
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and radiologist regarding any findings, patient histories and test results as appropriate

Qualifications

• General ultrasound (abdomen, OB/GYN) and/or vascular experience preferred
• Allied Health degree (2-year program)or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-approved Ultrasound Technology program
• Valid ARDMS registry required within six (6) months of hire
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
