Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Operates Specialized Equipment /Radiation Safety: Operates specialized radiographic and invasive procedure equipment.

 • Understands needs and identifies needed supplies appropriately for invasive procedures. Ensures supplies available for procedures.

 • Employs radiation protection devices and techniques as required.

 • Independently assists physician as scrub person and operates fluoroscopic/specialized equipment safely.

 • Understands and practices sterile technique.

 • Orients new employees as related to special procedure technologist duties.

• Participates in departmental performance improvement activities.

 • Fulfills assigned on call obligations.

What qualifications you will need:

Current Registered Radiographer (ARRT).

 A certification as a Radiology Technician or Cardiovascular Technologist; 

Registered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist (RCIS) credential preferred. 

American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS Required.

State License Radiological Practical Technician, or State Registered Radiologic Technician.

Completion of an accredited and approved Radiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist program.
