Registered Wound Nurse (RN)

Healthcare Facility in the Syracuse, NY area is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Nurse to join our clinical team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee and monitor skin integrity and wound care services for patients

• Complete skin assessments for new admissions and identify treatment needs

• Document wound progress and clinical updates accurately in patient records

• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff during weekly wound rounds

• Follow infection prevention and control policies and procedures

• Provide education, guidance, and support to patients and families regarding wound care plans

• Maintain accurate reporting and complete monthly wound care documentation as required

• Ensure confidentiality of all patient and organizational information

• Support quality care initiatives and clinical standards throughout the organization

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

• Previous wound care experience preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

• Solid computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
