The position will serve as a liaison between the clinical treatment programs and the Center's administrative departments which provide insurance verification, utilization management and billing services to ensure that clients are placed in correct funding source pathways and clinical services/orders are billed accordingly. Will assist clinical staff in recording and updating client census and grant utilization tracking to ensure programs meet productivity and funding source standards within compliance of HRMC policy and procedures.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT This position will take place in an office setting, but will include travel between McNabb services locations, primarily the Tech Center, CenterPointe and the Springdale campus.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; and employee will also perform other reasonably related job responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required. Utilization and Verification of Client Pathways Liaison with utilization and insurance verification team on a daily basis to verify benefits and funding source for SUD continuum clients.Update census on a daily basis to reflect appropriate/correct fund source.Assist with TNWits data entry as needed.Maintain spreadsheet of bed allocation as it relates to fund sources allocation (efficient tracking for productivity purposes.)Assist in vetting clinical documentation prior to billing to determine which services need to be billed to particular funding sources.Assist Director in MAT billing process.Verify PM Admit/Discharge billing notes to ensure that they match correct dates of service and fund source. Track all prior and continued-stay authorizations.Audit clinical documentation to identify Cost Center/pathway errors on clinical notes and assist in tracking error corrections related to billing needs (prior to and after submission.) Provide administrative assistance for MAT grant enrollment at CenterPointe (tracking GPRA and med $)Liaison with accounts receivable to reconcile any productivity vs. billing discrepancies and transfer clients to grant billing to ensure that all services are funded.Other duties as assigned by Director to ensure correct and efficient use of funding source and client pathways throughout the continuum of care.2. Documentation and Tracking RequirementsUpdate and track SAMHSA grant enrollments and liaison with IT to produce service provision report on a monthly basis.Update census on a daily basis to reflect appropriate/correct fund source.Maintain spreadsheet of discharges by type/reason/day/time for tracking patterns.Track all prior and continued-stay authorizations.Provide assistance in tracking grant GPRAs and medication expenses. Assist administrative needs related to pharmacy enrollment and Safety Net enrollment for SUD division.Audit charts as related to admin. & financial requirements of funding source.Completes all required clinical documentation in accordance with Center Policy and Procedure and funding source guidelines.3. Travel: Must possess a valid TN Driver's license and be able to utilize personal vehicle in the exercise of job duties. Staff members are reimbursed mileage for use of their vehicle for this purpose.Equipment/Technical Competency: This position does require computer skills for timekeeping, training modules, scheduling and use of electronic medical records entry, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Outlook).QUALIFICATIONS - Patient Pathway LiaisonEducation: Minimum of a high school diploma. Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Experience / Knowledge: Administrative experience and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word is required. Data entry and navigation of the internet is expected. Previous experience navigating through electronic medical records and client benefits software is preferred. Experience working face to face with individuals in an office/clinic setting. Physical/Emotional/Social - Skills/Abilities:Lifting up to 50 pounds and ability to remove and place items from all levels of shelving. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time; must be able to work in an environment that is non-sedentary: standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Hearing of normal and soft tones.Must have mental ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
