Job Title: Location Manager - VirginiaReports To: Director of HatcheriesLocation: Blackstone, VAClassification: Exempt Job Summary: Oversight of operations supporting the Blackstone, VA commercial hatchery. Duties/Responsibilities:Oversight of all personnel involved in the operations in Blackstone, VA to include all hatchery personnel: (management, maintenance, hatchery production and hatching egg and day-old chick transportation team members).Management of hatching egg production, egg flows and order processing for all day-old chick customers supported by the location.Overall financial management of the facility, ensuring that the operation is efficient and profitable.Participate in weekly Production & Sales meetings to ensure correct planning and product distribution on a customer-by-customer basis.Communication with day old chick customers regarding orders, deliveries, and services.Quality control and assurances on all products produced.Ensure all safety programs for both the hatchery and transportation teams (to include FMCSA regulations) are followed.Ensure compliance with all NPIP, biosecurity, transportation, government, and other regulations governing our property and business. Additional Duties:Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Education and Experience:4 Year B.S. Degree in Poultry or Animal Sciences and 4 years or greater of industry experience; or 10 years of experience in the poultry industry without a college degree.
