Senior Software Developer Location: Huntsville, AL Description: Seeking a motivated Senior Software Developer to join our Patriot team in Huntsville, AL on the Redstone Arsenal. We are searching for curious problem solvers looking to continue to grow in their knowledge and are lifelong learners! Responsibilities: * Develop and debug software using C/C++ * Develop, test, troubleshoot, and improve source code
* Work within an agile environment to design, write, and test Object Oriented software (SW) components/applications through the entire SW lifecycle
* Troubleshoot issues on Linux operating systems including dependency issues, version compatibility, and installation bugs on platforms disconnected from the internet
* Mentor young SW Engineers within the team
* Build code using GNU Make Required Skills: * Strong experience programming in C/C++
* Experience with code creation and development using GNU Make
* Experience with Link-16 (MIL-STD 6016) JREAP (MIL STD 3011)
* Experience with socket programming (IP TCP/UDP) and serial programming (RS- 232)
* Experience with scripting languages such as Python and/or Bash
* Solid understanding of OOP, basic Data Structures, and basic Algorithms
* Experience performing software installation and configuration
* Experience using Perforce
* Must be a US Citizen
* Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance Desired Skills: * Experience with Patriot Systems and/or Missile Defense
* Knowledge of general Internet and network troubleshooting
