Sr. Systems Mathematical Scientist Specialist Location: Patuxent River, MD (Hybrid/Remote) Description: HigherEchelon is seeking a motivated Sr. Systems Mathematical Scientist Specialist to support The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED) team in Patuxent River, MD. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities: Provides high-level subject matter expertise, analysis, strategic advice, and technical guidance to support project execution, business and technical operations, strategic initiatives, workforce development, business improvement, or as required to support tool development and integration with other environments, complex technical and organizational tasks. Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex problems that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Required Skills: Must have demonstrated experience in a specialized area of technical/engineering expertise directly applicable to a technical area, discipline or product that supports the mission and relevant to a specific military or technical application. o Areas relevant to technical application may include experience with the integrated systems engineering environment development and architecture, with cloud conversion, with transition to classified computing environments, and with integration with other Naval tools in varying environments, specialization in cutting edge equipment/software/tools, modeling and simulation techniques and technical processes, cybersecurity or aeromechanical technical domain which supports flight safety analysis and determination including AFSEO, FAA or equivalent flight certification specifically applicable to the requirement. Must be a US Citizen Active Top Secret Clearance is required. Education: Computer Science or Information Technology MS or MA degree A Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for an MS or MA degree.
