Senior Systems Administrator
Location: Austin, TX Description
Seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join our award-winning Veterans Affairs, Financial Services Center team in Austin, Texas. Required Skills:
•Knowledge of IIS and Windows Server technologies
•Scripting experience, with preference to PowerShell
•Experience installing, supporting, and troubleshooting Commercial Off The Shelf products (COTS)
•Agility mindset towards solving problems that might extend beyond one’s assigned specialty
•Ability to support high speed scanners on-premises at the FSC in Austin TX to include meeting with vendors and working through technical issues related to the installation of the scanners and resolving conflicts with VA mandated security controls and vendor provided baselines
•Experience in an Agile environment
•Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Desired Skills:
The ideal candidate will either need to have experience with these, or be able to learn them to fulfill the role
•DevOps tools experience (Nexus, Jenkins, Quay, Openshift, Octopus, Azure DevOps, Github, etc)
•Experience creating scan batches in an enterprise scanning application with preference for Kofax and/or Datacap
•Knowledge of basic SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
•Experience implementing Kerberos in Windows and configuring Service Principle Names (SPNs)
•Packet trace troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark or Fiddler
•Experience with Octopus, Kofax or Datacap Education and Experience
