We are looking for a Part-Time/PRN Registered Nurse (RN) - 10-20 hours a week

Objective:

  • Ensure the ongoing satisfaction and safety of existing clients through regular phone and in-person contact and quality assurance home visits for those clients specified through medication administration and nursing delegation requirements.
  • This position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment in regard to the significant matters of quality assurance/risk management and training of the Care Professionals for Home Instead #707®.

Primary Responsibilities:.
  • Set up medication administration or nursing delegation tasks for clients as needed.
  • Conduct quality assurance home visits with clients within first 30 days and every 60-days thereafter for those who receive medication administration or delegated services. Ensure proper maintenance of Client Journals: collect service records for office file and keep journal stocked with blank forms.
  • Conduct in-office initial and ongoing annual retraining and field training for Care Professionals.
  • Conduct one to one training with individual Care Professionals who are serving high-needs clients with more complex medication needs.
  • Act as an adviser over the medication services training given to Care Professional.
  • Be the primary contact with medical professionals and physicians to ensure proper medication orders are documented and received monthly
  • Keep detailed documentation of all relevant phone and in-person contacts with clients, client representatives, Care Professionals and others.
  • Review, create and keep updated the medication administration records (MAR) as needed for clients that receive medication services.
  • Attend the Quality Improvement meetings quarterly.
  • Essential job functions require standing, walking, driving, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Must be willing to travel to/from clients homes to oversee medication services and delegated tasks
  • Gain mastery of the following technical systems/processes/resources: Outlook Calendars, Outlook Mail, WellSky (ClearCare), HomeBase, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Panasonic Phone System, E-Fax, and more.
  • Other duties as assigned, including caregiving.

Job Requirements:
  • To properly assist with the medication service and RN Delegations s as outlined in the Idaho Nursing Board.
  • To be able to delegate nursing tasks as outlined in the Idaho Board of Nursing.
  • To ensure compliance with all medication guidelines for in-home care professionals
  • There will be no driving of the clients as the care professionals or other transportation will be available as needed but there is required travel to/from client homes
  • Maintain valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Maintain a valid and current Registered Nursing License.
  • Be able to pass all employment screening requirements
