The Behavior Technician is responsible for:
- Providing one-on-one direct care with learners ages 18 months to 21 years while teaching independent daily living skills for a higher quality of life in a primarily center based setting, with opportunities for home or community based sessions based on treatment plan
- Collecting and recording data on the learners’ behavior for skill acquisition and distressed behavior reduction goals
- Collaborating and communicating with team members including the learners’ families
- Providing a safe and supportive learning environment
- Following individualized behavior programming
- Adhering to diet, supplementation, and medication protocols per prescription/parent instructions
- Completing documentation and billing both timely and accurately
Behavior Technician training looks like…
Hope Network offers our team a unique, hands-on training experience designed to enhance a technician’s ability to offer high quality services from the start. New Behavior Technicians are set up with an individualized one on one training experience guided by a qualified trainer.
About you…
- You have a High school diploma/GED
- You have a valid state of Michigan driver’s license
- You have a passion for working with children
- You’re looking to apply your experience in healthcare, mental health, behavioral health, childcare, or residential settings
- You demonstrate professionalism in communication, attention to accuracy, flexibility, and teamwork
- You consider yourself reliable and understand punctuality and attendance is essential in providing excellent services to our learners
