Summary:


The Finance Manager will support the Finance Director and Leadership Team in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance Department by maintaining the agency's financial records and assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and regulatory reports.


The salary range for the Finance Manager position is between $60,070 and $91,000.


Responsibilities of the Finance Manager Include:



  • Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the preparation and analysis of financial reports.

  • Performs/Assists in most of the accounting cycle process from daily transactions to financial statements.

  • Prepares/Assists in the preparation of asset, liability, capital, revenue, and expense account entries.

  • Analyze and allocate transactions, create journal entries, and post transactions.

  • Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts.

  • Monitors cash flow and investments, including selection of investments.

  • Performs accounts payable and payroll processes.

  • Maintains accurate records of capital purchases including depreciation.

  • Produce accurate accounting reports, identify and summarize variances, make adjustments as needed.

  • Performs/Assists in the month-end and year-end close process according to scheduled timelines.

  • Functions as lead liaison with external auditors and provides all requested information in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Performs accounting functions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget.

  • Working knowledge of the payroll function.

  • Assist Director of Finance in regulatory filings



Qualifications for the Finance Manager position include:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. A CPA preferred, but not required.

  • A minimum of three years of experience in accounting preferably in health care and/or not-for-profit environment.

  • Information systems knowledge required.

  • Previous supervisory experience required.

  • Knowledge and/or experience in the use of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Accounting software skills required and a working knowledge of Office 2010.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
