The PM facilitates, organizes, and manages implementations and ongoing support initiatives contributing to business goals and company objectives. The PM will also create and manage reports, communication, and documentation. At HP Hood, the PM will report to the PMO Director and work closely with members of the IT department, Process Improvement department, business teams, and external vendors to define, schedule, and manage deliverables. In the PMO, it’s our job to define and implement clear work management standards while promoting teamwork, wellness, and success.Essential Duties Responsibilities: Manage the definition, planning, implementation, and acceptance of small- to large-scale projects and initiatives, achieving on-time and high-quality delivery. Identify, document, and track risks and facilitate solutions. Escalate issues to management when necessary. Follow up on deliverables with project members. Track vendor adherence to agreements and expenditure against contract & other budgetary constraints; share regular report outs with PMO leadership for review and risk mitigation. Manage budgets and financial resources effectively for the wise use of company funds. Serve as focal contact for project activities & communications; track, update, and communicate status & metrics of assigned projects, ongoing support initiatives, and tasks. Employ appropriate methods to motivate, coordinate, facilitate, and administer the project team. Prioritize deliverables and manage workload for your team members using our work management tool, Wrike. Raise over allocation and resource conflicts to PMO leadership. Master the ins and outs of our project management tool, Wrike, to function as an expert; learn other tools as needed. Provide set up assistance and training to other users as assigned. Coach others daily on use of our tools, understanding that adapting to a new tool may be difficult for some users. Practice patience, respect, and understanding. Review tools regularly for accuracy and request updates from users as needed. Identify process weaknesses and areas for improvement. Make recommendations and build out workflows to support new processes and train users. Follow Lean-Agile methodologies and coach project teams on the use of them. Continue professional development in project management, Lean-Agile, and business and technical areas to keep up to date with industry developments and company changes. Travel as needed to gather business requirements and successfully implement projects at company locations. Travel will be sporadic and may include periods of up to 25% travel intermixed with periods of no travel. Project implementations may occur during non-peak business hours. Perform other duties assigned by the PMO Director Education and Experience: Required: BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 5 years of corporate business experience with 3 years of experience independently managing technical projects. A demonstrable track record of successful service & support with internal or external customers up to the executive officer level (for example, through project management, account management, marketing initiatives, human resources, communications, etc.). Experience leading initiatives through an online project management tool (such as Wrike, JIRA, Asana, etc.), preferably as an admin or super-user. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship of any kind now or in the future. Preferred: Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) Experience managing SAP or other ERP implementations Experience in Manufacturing/Distribution, with CPG/Food & Beverage experience ideal Skills and Competencies: Proficient in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint & Excel. A “can do” attitude and a positive approach to working with others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with an ability to build strong collaborative relationships across departmental boundaries. Self-directed, results-oriented, and comfortable working with a diverse set of stakeholders. Able to learn independently via video tutorials and willing to engage with external vendors as needed. Able to actively listen and respond well to evolving priorities.
