This position supports our Sales and Marketing teams, helping to shape and influence strategy with thought leadership across all of our Food and Beverage categories. The Sr Business Intelligence Manager will be the subject matter expert on category trends, competitive activity, and product performance, drawing insights from our full-suite of data platforms and sources. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with Brand Marketing in the new product innovation process, from initial concept vetting to retailer sell-in. This position will contribute to our Annual and Long-Term planning process, sharing insights that will impact our forecast outlook. Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on emerging trends and competitive activity, identifying risks and opportunities across the Food and Beverage industry. Monitor market headwinds and tailwinds, and analyze their implications to our Sales initiatives and business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the commercialization process, vetting new item opportunities and initiatives. Develop customer-level forecasts, providing a Sales Team point-of-view on likelihood of innovation success, ideal launch timing, and execution recommendations. Track the success of our innovation against KPIs and competitors, allowing for in-year adjustments to support growth plans. Provide regular updates to Sales and Sales Leadership on the innovation pipeline, commercialization efforts and overall project progress.
Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of MAPS (merchandising, assortment, pricing, shelving) and strategic selling initiatives, driving continuous improvement. Help shape our Annual and Long-Term forecast outlook by providing customer and market intelligence, identifying growth opportunities and monitoring competitive activity.
Investigate AI and Machine Learning to help identify key indicators and form predictions on future Sales performance.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters in a quantitative discipline preferred
Academic plus equivalent business experience will be considered
5-7 years of experience in CPG, preferably with a Food or Beverage manufacturer
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to take initiative and work autonomously, working well with ambiguity and asking the right questions to get at the solution. Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills.
Ability to draw conclusions from large amounts of data and summarize findings in a concise and compelling way. Demonstrated success in influencing senior stakeholders and leadership on strategic direction based on analytical recommendations.
Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, MS Office Suite A thorough understanding of both syndicated and consumer panel data as well as the provider's platforms/portals (IRI/Circana, SPINS, Luminate, Numerator...etc.)
