The role requires an individual with a background as a rescue swimmer in the US Navy or US Coast Guard, along with certification in drown-proofing techniques. This position is a 10-day contract on San Clemente Island (SCI), where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the realism and effectiveness of maritime rescue and survival training scenarios. Key Responsibilities: Role Player Simulation: Act as a live role player in maritime rescue scenarios, simulating real-life distress situations to test and enhance the trainees' skills in maritime rescue and survival. Drown-Proofing Expertise: Utilize your certification and expertise in drown-proofing to ensure realistic and challenging training environments that closely mimic real-world maritime rescue operations. Scenario Development Support: Collaborate with training coordinators and instructors to refine and adapt scenarios to meet the specific training objectives of AFSPECWAR CLC for Guardians. Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with established safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a high standard of safety for all participants. Real-Time Feedback: Provide feedback to instructors and trainees on performance, focusing on areas for improvement and highlighting best practices during after-action reviews (AARs).
