ICF is seeking an experienced ASSISTANT PROJECT DIRECTOR to manage day-to-day operations for a national project that provides federal grants financial management capacity building and training and technical assistance (TTA) to organizations from the U.S. Territories that receive Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP). This opportunity will support DOJ/OJP in providing justice serving organizations with financial management training and increase grants management knowledge and skills. This position is remote. This position requires occasional travel to client offices in D.C., ICF headquarters in Reston, VA, and grantee sites across the U.S. This position requires a Public Trust security clearance. Applicants will be subject to government security investigation to obtain clearance prior to the start date. Key Responsibilities * Support the Project Director in managing project operations, building, and maintaining a trusted advisor relationship with federal clients, shaping a team culture of excellence, providing prompt, comprehensive responses to all client needs and requests, and participating in business development efforts. * Provide visionary, strategic, and practical leadership and direction for the delivery of forward-leaning, results-driven TTA that is culturally humble, trauma-informed, and reflects inclusive principles. * Ensure project quality including staff performance, reports, and deliverables, supervise and coach all team members, and monitor staff utilization and conduct annual performance reviews. * Coordinate culturally competent and trauma-informed TTA needs assessments, create customized plans based on those needs, and delivery of prompt, responsive, and high-quality, effective TTA products, and services that are responsive to those needs. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, victim services, criminal justice, or closely related field from an accredited institution. * Minimum of 6 years of professional work experience in financial management, business administration, victim advocacy, public policy, or administration. * US citizenship required by federal government contract. * This position requires a Public Trust security clearance. Additional Skills We Expect You To Have: * Experience working with diverse communities. * Knowledgeable of social science research, evidence-based programs and practices, and trends in the victim services field, including victim-centered, trauma-informed approaches. * Experience coordinating training or technical assistance on a national level. * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, provide high attention to detail, and respond to challenges with a high degree of adaptability with comfort in establishing new directions and managing and adapting to change. * Advanced communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work successfully in teams and with people of diverse cultural backgrounds. * Experience creating and delivering virtual and in-person, client-ready trainings (webinars, workshops) to justice-serving professionals. * Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships with multiple internal and external partners to help plan work, develop capacity, and ensure timely and effective project delivery. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with victim services organizations. * Knowledge of OJP programs and grant requirements. * Experience with federal consulting project management and business processes. * Experience leading a geographically dispersed team and providing oversight for multi-faceted TTA work * Experience managing a multi-million-dollar project budget and providing responsible stewardship for all project resources including invoicing and routine program and fiscal reporting.
