SENIOR MICROSOFT AZURE CLOUD ADMINISTRATOR / ENGINEER

DescriptionIdaho National Laboratory is hiring a Senior Microsoft Azure Cloud Administrator / Engineer to work in our Information Technology (IT) department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our INL Administration Building, Idaho Falls, Idaho with every other Friday off. Remote or Hybrid work opportunities may be available for this position.You will report to the Manager of Application Delivery Services and you will be a senior Microsoft cloud services administrator, for Azure and perform as cloud administrator for Azure implementations.Responsibilities Include:Perform as cloud administrator for existing Azure implementations. Implement, manage identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment, plus provision, size, monitor, and adjust resources, when needed. Provide leadership in migrating information, applications and services into the cloud.Determine and implement configurations according to INL Architecture and Security standards.Be the subject matter expert for implementing, managing, and monitoring INL’s Microsoft Azure environment.Provide design input and analysis on project milestones; analyze weaknesses and recommend system improvements.Configure and manage Azure cloud services, and serve as a liaison between Microsoft and the Azure user base. Lead other team members as applicable in prioritizing and performing these duties.Mentor junior staff in performing configuration and implementation tasks within applicable work scope.QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Bachelor's plus 5 - 8+ years experience or Advanced Degree and 3 - 6+ years experience OR 13+ years experience/education in lieu of a bachelor's degree.Minimum four years hands-on experience administering Azure, along with a understanding of core Azure services, Azure workloads, security, and governance.Working knowledge of PowerShell, SQL, Azure CLI, Azure portal, and Azure Resource Manager templates.Experience with containerization technologies.Experience with platform as a service (PAAS) administrationExperience with Azure Kubernetes Service.Experience with computer networks, including firewall, routers and load balancers.Experience with Terraform or other similar orchestration application.You will be subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.Preferred Knowlede, Skills, Experience: Experience with Microsoft development technologies, including .Net and .Net Core.Experience with Python, XML, Java, Openstack.Ability to coach and mentor junior staff in technical work scope.Job Information: Salary Grade: The pay range for this position is Level 3 ($91,008- $186,588) / Level 4 ($109,260 - $223,908) At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.Benefits and RelocationMedical, Dental, Vision, and Flexible Spending Accounts401(k) with a 4.2% employer contribution and up to 4.8% matchPaid time off (personal leave)Employee Education Program (tuition assistance)Comprehensive Relocation PackageBenefit eligibility subject multiple factors, including employment status and position classification.INL is a science-based, applied engineering national laboratory dedicated to supporting the U.S. Department of Energy’s mission in nuclear energy research, science, and national defense.
