Indotronix is seeking a Onsite/Hybrid Job - Systems Engineer at Elkton, MD 21921. Job Description:
• This position will be for a Systems Engineer working with an existing team to aide in assessment of a contract modification to an existing program. • The Systems Engineering will be working on a team of about 10 other engineers as well as another Systems Engineer to develop and assess requirements, assess Contract Changes Notifications, complete CDRLs, and aide in the preparation of a CDR package for the end of the year. • DOORs is currently used on the program for requirements, and experience in this is required. Responsibilities:
• Leads development of Systems Engineering activities as required by the program SOW, working closely with Product Engineering, Analysis, and Program Management.
• Provide Systems Engineering leadership and direction in a high tempo work environment.
• Create and manages system requirements in accordance with program and company standards.
• Creates, manages, and approves the requirements verification methods and database provided to the customer, to ensure, as the system design/build matures, that it satisfies each system requirement.
• Directs and supports proposal-writing efforts or authors sections/volumes for Systems Engineering for a project.
• Provides risk management (identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies) for a significant portion of a project.
• Provide program management office and mission planning/operations support.
• Leads, prepares and presents system engineering materials during System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review and System Verification Review and other formal program reviews.
• Provides IPT leadership and primary interface to customer for System Engineering Activities. Required:
• Experience using DOORs • Must have technical design experience in a DoD setting either as an engineer or Systems Engineer
• This person will be spending most of their days attending customer meetings, deriving requirements with the customer, baselining them in DOORs, and working with the team to define specific propulsion requirements. Candidate will be guided by the SE lead for this program, but be expected to be familiar with this process and perform the role duties on their own after a few months. • Candidate may be taught risk management to perform work in that domain. • Candidate will be responsible for putting together contract deliverables related to systems engineering.
• MBSE/CAMEO (If they are interested in sticking around for longer than contract date) Propulsion Design Experience – Nice to have Education:
• Bachelors of Science in a technical field (Engineering, physics, math. Etc
