Role: Quality Technician
Location: Fairport, NY
Pay Rate : $30/hr
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
• 40+ hours, Monday – Friday. Standard business hours. Support for production day shift as required. Occasional off-hour support possible, but isolated. Scope:
In this role, you will be reporting directly to a Quality Supervisor. This position focuses on quality disposition of Advanced Optics parts and materials, product and material documentation review and release and liaison between the Plant and key stakeholders. We look for you to work closely with other functions within the organization (Engineering, Operations, and Procurement) and be responsible for driving an improved Customer experience with our products. Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Ensures adequacy of product Quality and compliance to requirements.
• Dispositions production events related to part and material non-conformances.
• Monitors metrics consistent with job responsibilities
• Support Plant Safety programs to provide a safe working environment.
• Achieve applicable department requirements for safety, quality and cost.
• Ability to identify root-cause & how to improve issue at hand.
• Drive simplification and continuous improvement.
• Administrative work for production events in the system, ensuring that they are moving along and completing the production event process.
