Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshoots, evaluates, repairs, adjusts, calibrates, operates, and maintains electrical systems to include 4160 volt through 120 volt distribution systems, 125 volt DC system, transformers, motors, solid state uninterruptible power supplies, batteries and controls, power generating equipment, alternators, power distribution panels, switchgear and circuit breakers. Maintains electrical accessories, EMP and special electrical systems. Operates and maintains the Facility Monitoring System (FMS). Performs corrosion control. Maintains operation and maintenance records. Assists in the planning and ordering materials for electrical jobs.? Performs recurring preventive maintenance on electrical systems. Assists other civil engineering maintenance workers in the performance of assigned duties. Performs other duties not limited to general housekeeping, safety and environmental practices, requisitions parts, monitors bench stock and supply point, maintains data/logs/files, complies with security policies and PWS directive publications, completes ancillary training and participates in exercises. Educational/Training Requirements: High school diploma Knowledge of civil engineering mechanical and electrical disciplines desirable.? Three years of demonstrated proficiency and experience in the electrical trade. Required Skills/Experience: Journeyman Electrician License required Fire Alarm systems experience a plus Clearance Requirements: Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance.
Work Environment: Must be able to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Be able to negotiate multiple sets of stairs without assistance, climb ladders up to fifteen feet, work with high voltages, and can distinguish colors. Pay per hour: Pay: $43.06 / hour
