Job Summary: ITS, LLC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Cyber Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Cyber Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development and delivery of PARCS and UEWR assessment of systems and networks within the environments to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This position is in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Key Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Build security architectures; integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures; design cybersecurity architectural artifacts; provide architectural analysis of cybersecurity features and relate existing system to future needs and trends; provide engineering recommendations and resolve integration and testing issues.
Develop cyber requirements to DoD 8570/8140 standards
Passive evaluations such as compliance audits using STIG Viewer, SCAP, etc. and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments utilizing tools such as ACAS
Perform assessments of RMF artifacts and identify where those artifacts deviate from RMF control requirements
Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
Perform analyses to validate established cybersecurity controls and requirements and recommend appropriate cybersecurity safeguards
Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining assessment and authorization of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, control certification test, compliance documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research, inspections, and periodic au
STIG/SCAP compliance scanning and implementation
Travel as required for integration and test efforts (up to 25%). Preferred Qualifications: Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR
Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and mission and associated enterprise Education/Experience: Bachelor’s and nine plus (9+) years’ related experience, will consider 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification
Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Experience (Nessus / Tenable Security Center) Desired Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance Required
