Opportunity IMG is seeking an experienced Windows Server Administrator to support our mission-vital customer in Columbia, MD. Job functions include: -Support implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows servers (2012, 2016, and 2019), including the provisioning of a Windows 11 VDI infrastructure for enclave access and program support.
-Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
-Escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers
-Provides Tier 2 and 3 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Creates and updates ServiceNow tickets accordingly.
-Manages GPOs, applies security and system patching and coordinates/supports all service leads utilizing Windows servers across the program.
-Configures and manages Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
-Will be comfortable in all areas of analysis, design, installation, implementation, configuration, tuning, administration, operation, and security of mid-to-large-tier Windows systems.
-Be knowledgeable in the following categories: Power shell, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Trelix ePolicy Orchestrator, Virtualization and VMWare, and Amazon Web Services.
-Optimize system operations and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
-Analyzes and resolves complex problems associated with servers, windows applications, and software integration.
-Be able to respond to after-hours requests as required in a 24 x 7 environment, as needed. Qualifications Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Baseline Certification: DoD 8570 Compliance with IAT Level II is required (Sec+ preferred). Education/Experience: Must have ten (10) years of experience in hands on systems administration. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred.
