Sr. Process Engineer - Packaging Location:

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday The Packaging Process Engineer will provide technical leadership and solutions to the Argo maintenance and packaging operations teams.
This role will collaborate with operations associates, maintenance technicians, and leadership to ensure high utilization of packaging assets in alignment with personnel safety, food safety, and product quality expectations.
This role will own and maintain documented best operational practices for packaging lines and will coach leaders and associates in their effective use.
This role will also inform and support the execution of the site's asset reliability and investment strategy.Your role will be: Develop and own Best Operational Practices (BOPs) and documented run parameters related to packaging processes and audit these processes to standard to support consistent delivery and continuous improvement of process outcomes.Provide technical support to maintenance and operations groups including process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization, and analysis of historical data to identify, monitor and control key operating parameters.Keep historical data, to analyze and to monitor key efficiencies and parameters against design to assist operations with meeting costs and production goals.Identify training needs and opportunities and assist in the development and delivery of training programs for process operators and maintenance personnel as required. Understand and integrate business and technical needs into all activities.Serve as the site technical expert in packaging and material handling processes and equipment and explore alternative technologies where appropriate.Provide technical support to project engineers when designing or redesigning work processes for improvements in performance and workplace safety.Execute capital projects as assigned within scope, timing, and budget constraints.Develops and validates Standard Operating Procedures and completes Management of Change (MOC) to ensure technical proficiency and validity of documentation.Routinely review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all processes and documentation adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) and FSSC22000 standards, as well as ICH Q7 standards for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) where applicable.Lead or serve as subject-matter-expert for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process deviations and incidents.Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement problem solving projects (PDCA, Kaizen, SMED, LSS) that support plant performance enhancement at all dimensions.Drive and support initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.Represent plant on global packaging excellence team with focus on sharing best practices and opportunities and implementing standardized processesYour profile needs these qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Food Engineering desired. Work experience and alternate education will also be considered.Minimum of 5 years of experience in Process/Production Engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Minimum of 2 years of experience working with industrial packaging equipment.Strong initiative and ability to deal with ambiguity.Strong mechanical aptitudeProblem solving and decision-making skills.Competency with word processing, database, and spreadsheet experience.Proficiency in statistical data analysis.Demonstrated coaching and mentorship capabilities.Project management skills, including multi-tasking and time management.Ability to lead a team and work as a team member with a variety of people at all levels within the organization.Results-orientation and sense of urgency.High level of integrity, care, sincerity, and ownership.Proactivity and innovation with a strong will to succeed.Encourage discussion on work practices for the betterment of the departments.
