Description Background Information: Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to be based in our Arlington, VA or Mount Laurel, NJ office. Overview: The selected Cloud Solution Architect will be directly responsible for architecting and deploying cloud-based solutions for mission-critical systems operating within an Integrated Digital Engineering Environment (IDEE). All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance. Responsibilities Include: * Design, develop, and implement cloud-native software solutions using a government Cloud Service Provider (CSP) * Research options for the establishment of a secure IL 5 and IL 6 government CSP and make recommendations to leadership regarding functionality, compatibility and cost * Research, Design and implement costing/metering solutions for government CSP options * Interface with customers (both internal and external) for technical and programmatic requirements * Provide expert support in such areas as access control, configuration management, establishment of roles and responsibilities, resource management, licensing requirements, training, external interfaces, authorization, authentication, and cybersecurity Minimum Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or related field * 5+ of engineering experience in technologically rigorous environments * Architect-Level certification in one of the primary Government Cloud Hosting Environments * Azure AZ-305, or equivalent * AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent, * Google Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent Required Skills: * Experience working with government cloud service providers * Familiarity with compute and storage costing in government cloud platforms * Experience working with integrated digital engineering environments * Knowledge of DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and/or SonarQube * Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) models * Ability to read, write, and debug scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, Java, C/C++, and JavaScript * Familiarity with cloud platform services including storage, networking, security, DevSecOps, and disaster recovery. * Ability to demonstrate technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders * Ability to travel approximately 5% Preferred Skills: * Experience working with government cloud service providers * Familiarity with compute and storage costing in government cloud platforms * Experience working with integrated digital engineering environments * Knowledge of DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and/or SonarQube * Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) models * Ability to read, write, and debug scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, Java, C/C++, and JavaScript * Familiarity with cloud platform services including storage, networking, security, DevSecOps, and disaster recovery. * Ability to demonstrate technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders Competencies: * Excellent analytical, time management, and communication skills * Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude * Be capable of working independently, but thrive in a team environment EEO Statement: Applicants, employees, and former employees are protected from employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law.
