*Job Responsibilities: *
* The Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED) Trauma Specialist supports and adheres to hospital policies, procedures, philosophies and missions.
* Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
* Uses an integrated approach toward achieving desired patient outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning.
* Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor.
* Demonstrates leadership skills in decision making and problem solving while providing safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way.
* Utilizes standards, guidelines and pathways for care delivery while incorporating data and information to continuously improve care/practice and to enhance outcomes.
*Additional Requirements: *
* *Experience*: 2 years of RN Emergency experience in a Leveled Trauma hospital
* *Education*: BSN required
* *Certification*: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* *Licensure*: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
* *Work Schedule*: Full Time, 3x12's, Night Shift and Mid Shift available
