We are hiring a licensed pharmacist for a contract position in Natrona Heights, PA at a hospital. You will use clinical expertise to ensure the safe and accurate distribution of medications, support medication safety and formulary management, prepare and dispense sterile and non-sterile products, manage controlled substances, participate in medication reconciliation and discharge counseling, and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacokinetic dosing activities. Experience with EPIC is required for documentation and medication reconciliation tasks.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required.
  • Experience with EPIC required.
  • Experience in medication reconciliation and discharge counseling.
  • Familiarity with sterile product preparation, parenteral labeling, and sterile compounding oversight.
  • Knowledge of controlled substance handling and documentation as required by law.
  • Clinical experience with antimicrobial stewardship, interpretation of culture results, and recommendations for common infections (UTI, pneumonia, SSTI).
  • Experience with pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing management and monitoring.
  • Ability to maintain pharmacy inventory, perform procurement, and conduct monthly inspections of medication areas.
  • Six months of pharmacist experience preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Experience participating in Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees and medication use evaluations preferred.
  • Experience training and orienting pharmacy staff preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift: Day, 5x8.
  • Duration: 13 week assignment.
  • May be required to float to other facilities as needed.
