Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. Doctorate preferred. Degree must be from an accredited physical therapy program approved by APTA.
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license (LPT) required. Compact license holders accepted if valid in TX.
- Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
- Experience treating outpatient orthopedic patients required. Experience treating neuro patients preferred.
- Ability to independently assess and treat a variety of patient types in an outpatient setting, including formulating measurable goals and reassessing progress per departmental policies.
- Familiarity with common outpatient equipment and ability to identify and recommend appropriate devices to patients and families.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Outpatient clinic.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Work days: Monday – Friday.
- Patient mix: Primarily orthopedic with some neurological cases. Typical patient cadence is one-on-one, approximately every 45 minutes.
- Schedule note: Clinic typically closes early on Friday; hours may be adjusted Monday–Thursday to accommodate an early Friday close.
- Work type: Full time.
