3RD SHIFT RENDERING SUPERVISOR

Description 3RD SHIFT RENDERING SUPERVISOR   HOURS:    3rd Shift - Must be flexible.   DUTIES: Supervise, evaluate and direct production employees on shift in performing operations according to policies and proceduresStimulate maximize safety, efficiency, quality and productivity of production workers; ensure proper training of employeesAnticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedulesMonitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.Work closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and in plant facility.Arrange for trucks and railroads cars to be filled with appropriate product when scheduled; complete necessary paperwork.Attend meetings as scheduled and calledPerform other duties as needed or assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Must have overall knowledge of the Rendering Dept. and the industryKnowledge and technical skills in a variety of production jobsMust be people oriented, be able to understand employee's needs, good motivator, and be able to teach new skills to employeesUnderstand and comply with Company policy and proceduresGood communications skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent organizational, math and statistical skillsGood work history and attendance Team Player with leadership skillsBilingual and College preferred but not requiredResume requiredMust have less than 2 pointsWe offer a full range of benefits including health care, life insurance, and a 401 (K) plan. We are an equal opportunity employer.  EOE/Vet/Disabled
