Duties: The Instructional Designer will design, develop, and implement instructional experiences that make acquiring knowledge and skills more efficient, effective and engaging. This individual will work through an iterative process aligned with subject matter experts, project sponsors, and other stakeholders to develop new curriculum. The individual will develop programs for virtual, in-person, computer-based, and other delivery methods. Specific activities include: * Conduct a needs analysis and design sessions to understand specific functional skill-building requirements. * Develop a design strategy to address the needs analysis. * Create a design plan for skill building curriculum and modules to meet learning needs. * Design structure, content, delivery, and assessments for each module. * Design and develop training that engages participants in active learning while developing their understanding and expertise. * Incorporate adult learning principles and methodologies to learning techniques and technologies used in the delivery of the training. * Develop process maps as part of the design to link needs, strategy, and execution together. * Work with subject matter experts to develop the course materials. * Ensure that all modules align with federal mandates. * Ensure projects are instructionally sound and within scope and schedule parameters. Qualifications: * BA/BS degree in a relevant field. * A minimum of 5 years of experience in Instructional Design in the federal government environment using a variety of training delivery modalities. * Comprehensive knowledge of advanced instructional principles, methods, techniques, and standards, as well as knowledge of current and emerging trends in learning design and development. * Demonstrated experience working with Instructional Design software like Articulate Pro and Storyline, Adobe Captivate or other relevant software. * Knowledge and experience in working with learning management systems. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
