Seeking a VERIFICATION TEST ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government in support of a Missile Defense System (MDS) with a mission of protecting the United States and our allies. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic. Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Participate in software design and peer reviews
Develop test specifications and infrastructure
Execute manual and automated test
Perform analysis of program implementation in an integrated environment
Test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations (e.g., internal messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing)
Coordinate lab resources, test results, and verification status with the program and customers
Occasional travel between other local sites; travel to Huntsville, AL possible but infrequent Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science) with at least 5 years of experience or equivalent professional experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system utilizing Agile development in various test environments/venues
Experience using DoD test methodologies, functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution, planning and execution of test data collection, and test data analysis and reporting
Analysis experience involving characterizing system, software, or component performance using quantitative methods, reporting the characterization to subsequent users, and contributing to performance assessment by program system engineers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment, capable of diving into problems with assistance from other test engineers and software developers Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with an Agile development process
Knowledge in automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment
Requirement and verification analysis
Experience conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data
Experience developing action plans based upon analysis of data and documenting software deficiency reports
Experience presenting analysis results and action plans orally and in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document)
Experience in a DevSecOps environment
Security+ certification Security Clearance
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
