Shift 2: Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm-12:30 am
How you will do it
- Assists Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as necessary for projects as time allows.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Able to braze AND solder copper pipe ½” – 4”.
- Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
- Able to work with PVC pipe
- Experience with power tools.
- Performs other assigned work as required.
- Must be able to read blueprints and follow SOP’s.
Required:
- Proven experience as an industrial plumber, with a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
- This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards. Safety policies must be always adhered to. Personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be always worn where required.
- It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.
- Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
- Appropriate credentials and certifications.
- Ability to work shift work.
- Ability to work in small spaces.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
