SOFTWARE SYSTEMS ENGINEER WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE

We are seeking an experienced Software Systems Engineer with a strong background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to support the Navy's Sea-Launched Cruise Missile - Nuclear (SLCM-N) program. As a key member of our team, you will apply your MBSE expertise to design, develop, test, and integrate software systems for the SLCM-N program. As Software Systems Engineer, you will... * Design and develop software systems using MBSE principles and tools * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system-level issues * Develop and maintain complex software architectures and models * Conduct trade-off studies and analysis to optimize system performance, reliability, and maintainability * Support system testing and integration activities * Participate in technical reviews and meetings to ensure alignment with program requirements and goals What you bring to the table... * A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field * 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on MBSE principles and practices * An active DoD or DoE security clearance at the SECRET level or above (or have held an active clearance within the last 2 years) * Proven track record of successfully designing, developing, testing, and integrating complex software systems * Demonstrated experience with DOORS, Java, C and/or C++ * Experience working with Navy programs and/or DoD standards (e.g., MIL-STD-498) * Strong understanding of systems thinking, modeling, and simulation techniques * Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Bonus Points * Experience with MBSE tools such as Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, Modelio or Cameo MagicDraw * Familiarity with Navy-specific software development processes and procedures * Knowledge of Navy's Technical Data Package (TDP) process * Certification in areas such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban At JRC we offer: * Competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package * Opportunity to work on a high-profile Navy program * A collaborative and dynamic work environment * Professional development opportunities * Hybrid work schedule
