Position's pay $18 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am -4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for prepping trailers used to transport hazardous and non-hazardous products. Operate yard truck to move trailers in and out of the shop. Technician will be required to climb the tank ladders, replace gaskets, rebuild small pressure vents / vacuum vents, internal and external valves. Must have experience and be proficient in using hand tools as part of day to day function. Technician will be required to have basic hand tools to perform his or her duties.

DUTIES
Maintaining an environment of cleanliness and safety within the shop facility, following all safety rules and procedures as required by Federal and State requirements.
Responsible for proper use of personal protective equipment and shop equipment. (Meters, fall protection devices and retrieval systems safety, glass etc. )
Properly disassemble, inspect, clean, reassemble tank appurtenances that include but are not limited to: pressure vents, vacuum vents, valves, clean out caps, clamps, loading / unloading lines, hoses, internal valves, external valves, dome lids, dry breaks, and other equipment that is required to perform the according to specific prep type requirements.
Timely completion of tank prep with a quality inspection to verify prep was completed to specific prep requirements. (Proper gaskets where installed, no leaks, proper prep paper work and wash slip installed on trailer, second copy scan to shop manager, etc.)
Responsible for ensuring all work orders are open with all parts and time charged to correct lines with each repair and trailer.
Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work well in a team environment
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid drivers license
Must be detail oriented
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
At least one-year previous tank experience preferred.
Previous confined space entry training preferred.
Previous fall protection and equipment experience preferred.
