Job Overview
Position pay range: $104,00 - $135,000

The Director of Logistics Solutions will provide the leadership for driving the logistics technology vision, implementation and value of KAG Logistics technology platforms, capabilities and initiatives to support transportation management and logistics solutions. Responsible for enabling the logistics business with solutions to grow market share and achieve growth initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Detailed knowledge of 3rd party saas TMS, and other logistics enabling technologies capabilities and architecture
  • Enabling technology solution lead for all of KAG Logistics capabilities
  • Manages the logistics IT business plan, investment and roadmap to design, deploy and run IT solutions to deliver value and drive business growth
  • Position will collaborate and work closely with the KAG IT department to ensure enterprise architecture is considered, aligned with and adhered to
  • Collaborates with logistics business stakeholders to deliver value based solutions
  • Enable business processes and process improvement
  • Responsible business owner for deployment of technology capabilities across the logistics platforms
  • Directs project management scoping and deployment activities of enabling technologies
  • Manage scope, business requirements, user acceptance and deployment for any requested IT enhancements across the logistics department
  • Position will direct and be responsible that KAG Logistics scope of a customer contract for enabling technology is managed and delivered as prescribed
  • Position will have responsibility to efficiently plan, execute transportation/logistics solutions and participate in solving technical problems as necessary
  • Report and communicate status project status as necessary

Essential Functions
  • Ability to interface and develop relationships with customer teams, across internal business operating units and with carrier and vendor organizations that are responsible for execution of transportation and logistics systems
  • Strong problem solving skills with any required verbal and written communications
  • Actively participate in employee supervision and team building
  • Travel will be required as necessary to support customer relationships, assess new opportunities requiring enabling technology and process automation and integration to ensure timely and project managed implementation


Qualifications

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • 3rd party TMS and logistics software and integration with customers, TSPs and other LSPs (Process and technology)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field or equivalent work experience is required
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of Transportation/Logistics experience required.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end supply chain for Petroleum and Renewable Fuel related products; as well as Hazardous Material transportation management and logistics services in the bulk liquid industry is a major benefit
  • A minimum of 5 years successful team leadership experience required
  • Must have developed leadership, communication (verbal and written), organizational, interpersonal, problem analysis and resolution, and customer service skills


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
