Kalman & Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Forklift Operator with an active Secret security clearance for an onsite position based in San Diego, CA. Applicants must have a willingness to follow all safety and conduct rules and comply with company policies. The compensation rate for this position is $21.90/hr Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. This position falls under the DOL’s Service Contract Act (SCA). Specific Duties: Safely, efficiently, and appropriately inspect and utilize forklifts, mid-riders, pallet jacks, and/or other similar MHE devices for the purpose of loading, unloading, transporting, and/or organizing CBR equipment and job-related materials within the warehouse
Assisting the Team Lead/Manager in all daily tasks and ensuring the completion of each assigned task as directed
Provide technical knowledge where applicable.
Facilitate accurate inventory of all Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR), Air Crew Life Support Systems (ALSS) and Below-the-Neck (BTN) assets counted daily, by use of established warehouse (WMS) and quality management systems (QMS)
Participate in the receipt, storage, organization, and shipment of CBR equipment and other job-related materials daily
Perform basic quality activities by ensuring that specifications, quantity and quality of shipped/received CBR equipment or other job-related materials meet defined requirements of all established processes, procedures, and technical guidance while complying to all safety, conduct, and company policies and procedures as defined.
Required Education/Qualifications: US Citizenship is required.
Position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance and maintain that clearance with 6 month re-verification
Forklift Operators are required to be able to work on their feet and/or sitting down for up to 8 hours a day in a non-climate-controlled environment and must be able to lift and handle material weighing up to 35 pounds.
The position requires that the individual be knowledgeable with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
High School diploma or GED is required.
