In this role, you will be offering knowledge, and guidance as a security subject matter expert and advisor to both civilian security personnel and senior leadership. Your support will extend to facilitating government inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Moreover, you will be entrusted with conducting thorough reviews of current policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), presenting well-crafted SOP drafts and proposals to government decision-makers, thereby contributing significantly to our continuous improvement initiatives. Job Requirements: Skills / Experience Required 10+ years of relevant experience within the Department of Defense (DoD), offering a deep understanding of the intricacies of defense operations
Spearheads the implementation of robust processes across Physical Security (PHYSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), and Industrial Security (INDUSEC), ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to regulatory standards
Assumes responsibility for managing the complete spectrum of security programs for program security, ensuring seamless coordination and execution to safeguard critical assets and information
Directs the Security Education, Training, and Awareness program, crafting tailored training materials and facilitating widespread dissemination to foster a culture of security awareness among the workforce
Conducts thorough assessments of security vulnerabilities throughout acquisition and development processes, proactively identifying preventive measures to mitigate risks upon system completion and transition
Supports customer’s security program by conducting preliminary inquiries, responding to and reporting security incidents within the organization
Coordinates with Program Management on program access requests (PAR) and SCI nominations and ensuring proper vetting of candidates before access approval
Supports and maintains sponsorship over multiple mission partner SCI indoctrinated individuals ensuring training and reporting, are executed properly at each partner facility
Reviews Program Security Classification Guides (SCGs) for administrative, formatting and marking purposes in coordination with responsible PM
Adapts and enhances Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all security programs, delivering training to empower the workforce in implementing procedures that bolster the protection of government resources, personnel, and facilities in dynamic threat environments
Education / Certifications Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MS), or Master of Engineering (ME) degree, with the flexibility to consider extensive work experience as a substitute for formal education.
