Summary of duties:
- Provides operational support for testing activities including reagent preparation, cleaning activities, and waste handling.
- Works on routine assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
- Completes recording of data in logbooks and lab cleaning forms to comply with regulatory requirements
- Completes all prerequisite site-specific and job-specific training (e.g, Bloodborne Pathogens, Safety, GDP, and BSL2+, etc.).
- Understands proper cleaning technique and impact of the cleaning/sanitization program has on the GLP environment.
- Identifies and communicates material discrepancies.
- Understands the concept of various lab equipment.
- Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments
- Performs other lab chores as required.
- Performs routine equipment cleaning (i.e. centrifuges, biosafety and chemical hoods, refrigerators, incubators and freezers) and keeps records according to guidelines and SOPs
- Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices
Requirements for our GMP Tech position:
- 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory or biotech/pharma environment
- Familiarity with GLP/GMP standards
- Prior experience performing lab support functions and handling cleanroom protocols or biosafety environment
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
- Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner.
- Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.?
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
