Summary of duties:

• Provides operational support for testing activities including reagent preparation, cleaning activities, and waste handling.
• Works on routine assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
• Completes recording of data in logbooks and lab cleaning forms to comply with regulatory requirements
• Completes all prerequisite site-specific and job-specific training (e.g, Bloodborne Pathogens, Safety, GDP, and BSL2+, etc.).
• Understands proper cleaning technique and impact of the cleaning/sanitization program has on the GLP environment.
• Identifies and communicates material discrepancies.
• Understands the concept of various lab equipment.
• Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments
• Performs other lab chores as required.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning (i.e. centrifuges, biosafety and chemical hoods, refrigerators, incubators and freezers) and keeps records according to guidelines and SOPs 
• Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices

Requirements for our GMP Tech position: 

• 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory or biotech/pharma environment
• Familiarity with GLP/GMP standards
• Prior experience performing lab support functions and handling cleanroom protocols or biosafety environment
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions. 
• Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner. 
• Disposition to perform other duties as assigned.? 
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required).
