Kelly Services in partnership with a global producer of packaging solutions, is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to ensure that all work performed by our employees is done in a safe manner. The candidate will facilitate compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety guidelines and legal requirements. Additionally, the EHS Manager will oversee wastewater and hazardous waste management programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, SWPPP, SPCC, and RCRA.
  • Submit annual reports such as Tier II submissions, MACT, Title V air permitting, and above-ground storage tank inspections.
  • Manage chemical reporting and use, including TIER II, SARA 313, TURA, and local community requirements.
  • Provide employee training under OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements consistent with facility needs.
  • Manage the Safety Program and actively participate in the Plant Safety committee.
  • Investigate all workplace accidents to determine root cause and assist in identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Hold full responsibility for the MSDS Program.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of basic water issues including storm water permitting.
  • Conduct Job Safety analysis for all new equipment and process changes.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update environmental and safety policies and procedure manuals.
  • Successful interaction with government regulators and customers on needs and sustainability issues.
  • Ensure all training is documented effectively in the training database.
  • Identify and abate critical risks such as machine guarding, electrical safety, and the LO/TO program.
  • Act as the point person for all Federal and State site inspections.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, Occupational Safety, Engineering (any), Physical or Biological Sciences.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing facility. GMP experience preferred.
  • PE, CIH, CSP, CHMM, QEP desired.
  • Excellent analytical, technological, interpersonal, and communication (written/verbal) skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in EH&S management systems with a successful track record of results.
  • Absolute understanding of state and federal regulations and standards.
  • Ability to manage, direct, develop, and motivate others.
  • Proven team leadership skills and ability to effectively influence others and communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to resolve problems timely and effectively, determining appropriate action.
  • High degree of maturity, confidentiality, reason, perspective, and flexibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a track record of showing initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Ability to actively manage multiple projects with varying timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability as a change agent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to organize safety and occupational health material into lesson plans and present the material effectively to employees and the safety committee.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.
