General Manufacturing Machine Operator 1

Work Mode: Onsite

LOCATION:  Portland, OR (North)

SHIFT:  Mon-Fri.  Second Shift: 2pm-10:30pm, occasional overtime.

PAY:  $20-$22 hourly, depending on experience.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Practice and follow all required safety regulations as outlined in the Ann Sacks Safety Orientation Handbook 

• Maintain work area. Keep equipment, tools, and workspace in clean and safe working condition.

• Operates Press Machine.

• Lift 45-60 pounds boxes 10-15 times per hour. Properly palletize orders. 

• Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor (including Process Leads).

• Job requires repetitive lifting of up to 30 pounds.

• Cross-trains with positions.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate various machines in the production process of raw materials being formed, fired, glazed, inspected, and packed.

• Perform custom cutting of bisque shapes as required.

• Perform sanding and grinding, as necessary.

• Inspect products for quality control.

• Practice and follow all required safety regulations.

• Maintain work area. Keep equipment, tools, and machinery in clean and safe working condition.

 • Responsible for returning all pulled bisque back into stock.

 • Other duties as assigned by supervisor to support meeting factory production goals.

Skills/Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, ceramics, or warehousing environment.

• Consistent attendance record and adherence to the attendance policy for Ann Sacks.

• Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes.

• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Strong attention to detail; takes pride in their work

• Physical requirements: This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Regularly lifting of 20-30 pounds, occasional 50+ pounds.
