Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference? We are currently seeking a Night Shift RN to join our dynamic healthcare team.
Position Summary: Under the direction of the CNO, Emergency Nursing Director: andcharge nurses, this position encompasses the provision and management of patient care through implementation of the nursing process, delegation to and supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordination of interdisciplinary care.
Minimum Qualifications:
License & Certifications
Current unencumbered Arizona Registered Nursing License
Current BLS certification
Successful completion of arrhythmia course within 6 months from date of hire
ACLS Certification within 6 months from date of hire
PALS Certification within 6 months from date of hire
TNCC within 1 year from date of hire
Experience:
One year ER experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and written
Able to work and multitask in fast paced environment
Able to manage, prioritize, and delegate patient care appropriately and effectively
Demonstrates knowledge of common disease processes, treatment modalities, and interventions
Verbalizes knowledge of safe and accurate medication administration principles

Demonstrates ability interpret cardiac rhythms and their implications
Above average computer skills

Addresses patient needs within the Electronic health record
Assessments, procedures, and nursing notes in appropriate location
Through collaboration with the healthcare team, keeps providers aware of patient status including assessment findings and response to interventions, as well as results of diagnostic or point of care tests.
Keeps patients, families, and/or significant others informed of plan of care and progress through their Emergency Department stay.
Maintains clinical competencies through attendance/completion of mandatory education and demonstrates these in practice.
Provides holistic care through proactive and timely implementation of ordered medical, as well as nursing, interventions to provide and promote patient wellness.
Provides understandable education to patients, families, and/or significant others, and verifies understanding or abilities through restatement or return demonstration.
Effective stewardship; ensure complete and accurate timekeeping, as well as appropriate and effective utilization of supplies and equipment.
Participates in hospital and departmental Quality Assessment Process Improvement activities and identifies service improvement opportunities.
Actively models, promotes, and implements managements visions and philosophies through collaboration with coworkers and management team.

Acts as clinical resource and preceptor.
Able to perform procedures and provide services requiring technical knowledge and manual skills

Collaborates with and coordinates patient care through ancillary departments to provide continuity of care throughout the hospital stay
Demonstrates customer service etiquette for all person-to-person encounters including but not limited to;
Face-to-face encounters
Telephone
Nurse call system
Environment of care
Keep rooms clean and tidy
Empty linen carts
Keep trash cans <1/2 full
Dirty Utility Room
Room is kept clean and tidy
Ensure noting is stored in room
Clean stock room
Ensure adequate supply of linen on cart
Ensure linen cart is covered
Attends no less than 50% of staff meetings
Timely and accurate completion of supplementary tasks assigned or delegated by CNO, dept. director, or charge nurse.
Able to communicate and model the hospital mission, vision, and goals
Maintains HIPAA compliance
Performs all other duties as assigned
