Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant processing, facility, and support equipment.

 

Location: Hillsboro, WI

Hours:  Monday - Friday, 9pm - 5am

Wage:  $32.47/hr plus shift differential  

  

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

  • 18 years or older
  • Basic computer skills
  • Communicates work order progress to supervisor and production operators
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills
  • Ensures a safe working environment for self and others while performing assigned tasks
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively work with a variety of people and departments

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences:

  • 1+ years’ experience with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
  • Prior industrial maintenance experience, knowledge and/or education
  • Forklift experience preferred or willing to be trained for certification
  • Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule
  • Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Possess mechanical aptitude. Some experience with mechanical systems, utilizing product manuals, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, and reading mechanical drawings.

Physical Requirements regularly include:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and perform occasional bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
  • Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
  • Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
