The Parking Enforcement Lead supports the Site Supervisor in leading the parking enforcement operation on their assigned shift through upholding and enforcing the parking regulations/restrictions of the local parking ordinances, while providing excellent customer service.

LAZ Parking is looking for qualified individuals to patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations/restrictions as a Parking Enforcement Officer in the City of Inglewood, CA.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Assist with special assignments and projects as requested by the client and leadership team.
  • Assists in doing daily work assignments, assigning staff to patrol specific routes or areas to enforce parking ordinances.
  • Assists to prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage for special events.
  • Monitors field activities by making site visits to ensure proper enforcement of parking regulations and restrictions.
  • Monitors and trains staff on the provisions of parking ordinances and procedures for writing and issuing citations for violations.
  • Reviews work activity reports and evaluates work performance of subordinate staff.
  • Evaluates the parking citations issued on various routes and makes changes in work assignments to increase productivity and improve accuracy.
  • Meets with subordinate staff to discuss and resolve problems relating to field activities.
  • Issue verbal warnings to staff when needed.
  • Maintain and care for all company issued equipment.
  • Serve as an example for employees by following all LAZ and office policies and procedures.
  • Identify areas of improvement and work with supervisor to implement.

Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience:

  • General knowledge of streets and directions is required.
  • A minimum of 2-4 year of outdoor work experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • At least 1 year of parking enforcement experience.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Valid CA Driver's License

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least?25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
