Description
Seeking an experienced LAN Network Engineer to support the NASA Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Network and Telecommunications Services (NaTS) under the Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology (IT) Solutions (AEGIS) contract. This job requires working closely with key NASA program customers, managers, leaders, and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on implementing Cisco’s Software Defined Access (SDA) architecture across NASA’s corporate network agency-wide.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of complex network engineering tasks independently which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of integrated networks, including personnel, hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment.
Lead major technical/engineering network activities of higher complexity and importance than those normally assigned to junior engineers.
Plan and perform network-engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with network design, engineering and customer specifications.
Responsible for completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Able to lead a group of network engineers, analyst, and/or technicians assigned for the duration of a project or may function as ongoing lead within a group associated with one of more technical areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA/ CCNP working level knowledge
Working level knowledge of ISE, DNAC, Splunk, Stealthwatch and/or NetBrain
Experience with Data Center & LAN Technologies including WLAN
Knowledge of implementing IPv6 and supporting an SDA fabric overlay architecture for a large Government agency network would be a plus
Basic Qualifications:
Currently has an active security clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Typically requires BS and 5 – 10 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
